Useless Books

Uselessness is an interesting concept. Some people might see it as discarded wrappers, marbles, gum, torn newspapers, an old report or maybe even... a discarded idea. But the way I see it, is if you look at those, "Ideas" in a childish, unpredictable way, it can turn into a grand journey. That is what exactly happened to me.
The Useless Books started in 2011. In second grade, my class was taught "Magic Binding Books", I thought to myself, "Who needs a small book with only 4 pages?" I discarded the skill as useless. About a year later, in 2012, me and my cousin Zander were bored. All I had to entertain myself was a small notebook and a pencil. Zander was making origami, dragons, swans, tanks, etc. I was astonished by his skill, so I suggested that we have a contest on what origami creation was the best.  I thought it would be clever if I recorded the score in a tiny book. Using the skill I learned during second grade, I made a little book, I didn't have time to come up with a title, so I called it, "Useless Book". Zander snickered at the title. I wrote the score. Afterwards, I had all these extra pages, I decided to draw a duck. I showed Zander the duck and he laughed. He said "Let me do a page." I let him try, he drew a guy taking a wig from another guy. The guy without the wig said, "Why?" From there we started taking turns writing comics, poems, pictures, and just being random! It was so fun!
